Octagonal sewing and game table, rosewood with inlaid checkerboard and marquetry inlaid hinged top, which lifts to reveal paper and silk lined interior fitted for sewing accoutrements and a tapering hexagonal storage receptacle beneath. Carved tripod wooden base (likely not original to top section). 29″H x 17-1/2″W x 18″D. Probably Continental, circa 1835 and later. Condition: Tripod base is likely a replacement. Top exhibits light staining, scratching, fading and shrinkage. Lacking key.
