Attributed to Fred Gohman (American School, early to mid 20th century), genre painting depicting two boys sitting barefoot in a wooded landscape and smoking, reminiscent of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Pencil inscription en verso "Fred Gohman." 16" x 19" canvas, 17 1/2" x 20 1/2" framed. Note: Fred Gohman was a mid 20th century illustration artist. He worked for the Cincinnati Enquirer. This may be from his book "Mystery at Indian Island." Condition: Very good condition with general overall craquelure. CONDITION: Very good condition with general overall craquelure.
