Fifteen (15) George Ayers Cress (American/Tennessee, 1921-2008) related items, including five (5) paintings and ten (10) miscellaneous. 1st-5th items: Five (5) abstract watercolor paintings on paper, some depicting landscapes. Three unsigned, including one titled and dated "Bermuda 12-97" lower right. Two signed "George Cress" and dated 1980 & 1987. All with museum accession numbers to lower right corners in pencil en verso. All unframed. Sheets ranging in size from 7" H x 9 3/4" W to 11 7/8" H x 16" W. 6th-15th items: Art archive consisting of five (5) printed cardstock Christmas/New Year's cards, most in color, with original George Cress artwork including two dated 1955 and 1965, four (4) pencil or graphite sketches on paper or cardstock including a wharf, landscape, seashore and section of I-75, one (1) blank note card with an image of a house to the front, and one (1) sepia photograph depicting a watercolor painting of an unknown house. Ranging in size from 4 1/4" Sq. to &" H x 5" W.

CONDITION: 1st-5th items: Two with light toning throughout. Two with residual tape to edges en verso from previous hinge mounting. Three with slight waviness to paper. Largest with minor creases to edges. 6th-15th items: Some paper with toning. All with museum pencil accession information.
