Pair of Chinese carved gilt and painted cabinet doors, each having a red ground with six (6) gilt painted, carved and pierced inset panels depicting figures in outdoor settings and auspicious symbols. Mortise and tenon construction. Both float mounted and framed for hanging. Doors – 36" H x 17 1/2" W. Framed – 42" H x 24" W. Late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Found in Chattanooga. By oral history, auctioned from the collection of Krystal's Restaurant corporate headquarters in Chattanooga in 2013. CONDITION: One with overall wear and scattered losses to paint. The other overall good condition with losses to top right panel. Hardware not present.
