Rectangular form trumeau mirror, the top section having an oil on canvas landscape depicting two men with rifles in a landscape, over a lower mirrored section. Molded narrow giltwood frame. Canvas – 30" H x 22" W. Overall – 51" H x 26" W. Continental, early 19th century. Provenance: a Nashville, Tennessee estate. CONDITION: Significant craquelure to top half, with several scattered losses up to 1/4". Backing boards for mirror are loose. Regilded.
