American walnut birdcage candlestand. Circular top above fixed birdcage support; turned ring and baluster standard terminating into three spider form legs. Legs secured to standard with dovetails underside. 26 1/2" H x 17 3/8" dia. Likely New England, early 19th century. Provenance: Estate of Glen and Marjorie Stewart, proprietors of The Keeping Room, Augusta, Georgia. CONDITION: Repairs to two of the legs where dovetails join the standard. Older refinish. Some minor stains to top, overall general wear to surface.
