Two (2) Carol Reesor (Kentucky, b. 1951) watercolor landscape paintings depicting East Tennessee Smoky Mountain streams with sunlight filtering through canopies of green leaves. Both signed lower right. One inscribed “‘Filtered Light II’ watercolor by Carol Reesor” and additionally signed and dated 2010 en verso. Unframed. Both sheets: 10 1/4 in H x 7 in W. Biographical note: Carol Reesor was born and raised on a small farm in Kentucky. Her characteristically peaceful landscapes are often set in the American South or Southwest. Scenic vistas, abandoned buildings, rustic places, country roads, farms, skies, and creeks are among her favorite subjects.
