(3 teaspoons); Gorham (6 forks, 5 dessert spoons); Towle (11 demitasse spoons, 1 sugar spoon, and 1 cream ladle, all with gilt wash); Whiting (11 demitasse spoons, 1 gravy ladle, 1 shell serving spoon, and 1 serving fork, all with gilt wash); and Mechanics (5 demitasse spoons with gilt wash) plus 7 spoons retailed by early Nashville jeweler B. H. Steif; 1 Frank M. Whiting bonbon spoon with gilt wash; 1 Reed & Barton butter pick; 1 Lunt baby spoon; 1 C. P. Barnes & Bro. retailed shell spoon; and 11 unmarked pieces silver including 6 knives with mother-of-pearl handles; 2 iced tea spoons (1 with gilt wash); 1 cream ladle; and 2 souvenir spoons. All items marked or test sterling. Some pieces monogrammed. All items ranging from 3 5/8" L to 9" L. 42.280 total weighable troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: Property of the Lincoln County Museum, Fayetteville, TN; Bequest of Mary Bright Wilson (1909-2004), formerly of Fayetteville, and descended in her family.
