1st item: Pair of Chinese porcelain vases with white ground hand-enameled with brightly colored Birds of Paradise against a background of peonies, with black filigree style trim painted at necks and feet. Chinese inscription or verse on backs and iron red seal marks on bases. 7-1/2"H. 2nd item: a smaller pair of Chinese vases with white ground, hand-enameled with mountaintop pagoda or temple scenes, black filigree decoration at necks, verses on backs and iron red seal marks on bases. 4-1/8"H. 3rd item: tabletop lacquered wood frame, featuring two doors adorned with raised and painted decoration of figures in a landscape, opening to reveal a picture frame. Newly covered silk back. 12"h x 8-1/2" W x 5". Probably Japanese, Meiji period. 4th item: Chinese or Japanese white metal cocktail shaker or carafe with handle and covered spout, the body ornamented with raised foliate or berry decoration comprised of inset hardstones. Unmarked. 11"H. Midcentury, circa 1940. 5th item: Hand Painted silk scroll depicting a warrior. Signed lower right. 18-1/2" x 40-1/2". 20th century. Condition: Items 4 and 5 have scattered light wear and abrasions, 6th item has some light scattered foxing and a tear at the upper hanging bar.
