Kentucky coin silver mint julep cup having a reeded rim and foot ring. Marked on the base for William Kendrick, working Louisville, KY, 1810-1880. Three-letter script monogram to one side. 3 1/2" H. 4.735 troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: Descended through the family of Lynn Banks Hudson (1816 – 1897, Jefferson County, Kentucky). A doctor by trade, L. B. Hudson was a surgeon for the CSA during the Civil War. Family genealogy and two photographs of his sister, Sarah Anne Burdette Hudson, including with this lot.
CONDITION: Cup with scattered light pitting and shallow denting to sides and base. 3-letter script monogram to one side.
