Model 1894 Winchester rifle, .38-.55 Caliber. Serial number 445961. Barrel marked, "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21. 1894. NICKEL STEEL 38-55". Tang marked, "Model 1894 Winchester Trade Mark". Walnut stocks, metal frame, round barrel. Standard sights. Barrel length – 26". Overall length – 44 1/2". Serial number corresponds to year 1908. CONDITION: Bore is a little dark. Mechanics are good. Some blue on barrel but thin. Receiver has little to no finish. Stocks have good patina with small chip out at the junction of the tang and receiver.
