Claude Cahill Cooper (British, b. 1941) oil on wood panel Impressionist style beach scene painting with numerous figures in early-20th century dress. A striped tent stands at upper right and couples, children, dogs, and a horse or donkey populate the scene. After William Samuel Horton’s (1865-1936) The Beach at Whitby, 1913. Signed lower left. Housed in an ornate giltwood frame. Sight: 11 1/2″ H x 15 1/2″ W. Framed: 21″ H x 25″ W.
