16 pieces coin silver flatware marked for Georgetown, Kentucky makers Alpheus Xavier Francis Shepard (working prior to 1817-1831+) and Thomas Jefferson Shepard (working 1820-28 and 1831-1875). Includes 1 dessert spoon (monogrammed ME) and 1 sugar shovel marked .SHEPARD in serrated rectangles for A.F. Shepard, and 6 tablespoons and 8 teaspoons marked TJ SHEPARD in rectangles. All pieces with varying monograms. Ranging in size from 5 1/4" to 8 3/4" L. Combined weight: 16.73 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Cora Jane Spiller, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
CONDITION: A.F. Shepard teaspoon has tiny tear to end of handle but is in otherwise very good condition. Other pieces overall very good condition with minor dents and wear (some with wear to tips of bowls).
