James Albert Caulfield III (Michigan/Tennessee, 1946 -2010), 3 paintings including a pastel and gouache on board depicting a Federal Express airplane (18 5/8" H x 27 1/8" W) , a pastel and gouache on board depicting a SR 71 Blackbird ( 15" H x 40" W), and an oil on board depicting a Formula Race Car (20" H x 30" W). The first two works signed lower right, the third signed en verso. All unframed. Biography James Albert Caulfield III was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived most of his early life in East Lansing until he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1985. As a child he loved to draw and sketch and received formal art training at Michigan State University and Lansing Community College. He trained and worked as an illustrator and commercial artist and painted with watercolor and gouache in a "realistic controlled manner". In both Michigan and Knoxville he featured the local and regional material, people and places in his work. Provenance: the estate of the artist. CONDITION: All unframed. Overall good condition.
