Two (2) Howard Plectrum Four String Banjos. 1st item: Four string banjo, pot with circular checkerboard inlay to the back, checkerboard inlaid bands to pot and rim, skin head. Fretboard with 19 frets and mother of pearl inlay to the peghead and fingerboard. 33 3/4" L x 13 1/2" dia. Housed in the original case. Circa 1900. 2nd item: Four string banjo, pot with foliate inlay to the back, bands of foliate metal inlay to pot and rim, skin head. Fretboard with 19 frets and mother of pearl inlay to the peghead and fingerboard. 33 3/4" L x 13 1/2" dia. Housed in a Wurlitzer case. Circa 1930's. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall expected general use wear. Losses to inlay on lower part of pot. Oxidation to metal components, some stains to head. 2nd item: Small area of loss to flange. Overall expected general use wear. Case not original.
