Footed baluster form and scrolled rococo handle, all-over chased and engraved repousse decoration with central cartouche engraved "Bessie". 3 3/4" H. 2nd item: Baltimore coin silver repousse Christening mug, marks for Andrew Ellicott Warner (1786 – 1870) active 1805-1870. Cylindrical form with applied hollow, shaped handle with all-over chased and engraved floral and bird decoration. Central cartouche with monogram. 3 1/4" H. 5.820 troy ounces. Both mugs circa 1840s. 6.510 troy ounces. 12.330 total troy ounces. Provenance: Baltimore estates of Virginia Howard Miller (c. 1880-1946) and Hugh Purviance King (1873-1966) passed down to present Living Estate of Virginia Johnston, Chattanooga, TN. CONDITION: 1st item: Body slightly misshapen, denting to one side of base. Split to rim at left side handle joint. 2nd item: Overall very good condition.
