Pair of Chinese Ming style Buddhist bronze figures depicting the warrior god guardians Veda Skanda and WeiTuo Skanda. Each depicted standing in a standing posture, the WeiTuo figure with sword and raised hand and the Veda figure with both hands in prayer posture balancing his sword. The bases of both fitted with wood inserts. 15″ H and 15 7/8″ H respectively. Late 19th/Early 20th century. CONDITION: The bases of both fitted with wood inserts. Overall general wear/ slight losses and oxidation.
