Antique Qing Dynasty Chinese gourd and hardwood cricket box or cage, featuring an intricately pierced and carved horn lid with relief decoration of two figures. 3 3/4"L. 18th Century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with some minor shrinkage and tiny losses to pierced decoration on lid. Lid does not fit snugly on base and at some point it appears a previous owner tried to glue it on; glue residue remains and we have not attempted to remove it.
