Two (2) Werner Wildner (Nashville, Tennessee, 1925-2004) surrealist drawings, graphite and wash on paper, including one (1) depicting a knight in profile with a military helmet decorated with a lion head and red feathers and one (1) titled "Primitive" depicting a head of a man in profile wearing a hoop earring and a flower tied to his forehead, with a spear and small rock balancing on a pointed structure in the background, titled "Primitive" lower center. Both signed with "W" monograms to lower center. Both housed under glass in gold-toned metal frames with coral colored mats. Sights: Knight: 6" H x 8" W, Man: 5" H x 6" W. Frames: 15 1/4" H x 15 1/4" W.
PROVENANCE: The estate of McAlister W. Anderson, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both with minor toning. Knight with moderate foxing and "Primitive" drawing with a couple of minor foxing spots. Not examined outside of frame.
