Spanish wall or rampart musket, .75 caliber, walnut hardwood stock with traditional steel Miquelet Lock, brass trigger, trigger guard and buttplate, octagonal steel barrel with maker's hallmark to both sides of upper barrel nearest trigger, fitted with wooden ramrod. Rear sight removed, filled with 3/8" bronze braze. Barrel length – 49". Overall length – 66". Circa 1700-1750. Provenance: Private Florida collection. CONDITION: Converted from flintlock to percussion. Crack to side of stock near lock. Various scratches and normal wear to stock. Old patch repair to butt stock.
