B. A. Bremond Swiss interchangable cylinder 10-tune music box. Mahogany and satinwood case having floral spray inlay to the top and cartouche inlay to the front with ebonized trim. Underside of lid with the original tune card reading "Fabrique de Geneve" with a list of the ten music selections and marked with the serial number #15977. Glass cover with cutout wood corners. Brass winding handle additionally marked with the serial number. Governor marked "BAB" for B. A. Bremond. Fitted with a steel comb and a lever winding mechanism. Box equipped for coin operation, fully functional. 8 1/4" H x 32 1/2" W x 13" D. Late 19th century. Provenance: Montgomery, Alabama estate. CONDITION: Case overall good condition, some minor wear/damage to finish to top edge, some cracks to veneer on the back and side. All teeth present to comb. Mechanism appears to be fully functional.
