Pochoir (Jacomet process) print after Pablo Picasso's (Spanish, 1881-1973) watercolor painting Femme a la Meche (Woman with a Lock of Hair), 1903. From the 1963 portfolio Les Bleus de Barcelone (The Barcelona Blues) published by Au Vent d'Arles, Paris, and printed by Daniel Jacomet in an edition of 500 plus 40 hors d' commerce impressions. Signed and dated in the plate, upper left. Numbered 2268 in the plate, lower right. Numbered H.C. 24/40, titled, and inscribed "aquarelle" (watercolor) to mount. Floated under plexiglass in a gilt frame with cream mount and ivory mat with black reveal. Sheet: 19 1/2" H x 14 3/4" W. Framed: 37" H x 31" W.
PROVENANCE: A Cookeville, TN estate.
CONDITION: Excellent condition. Not examined outside of frame. Frame with minor abrasions and losses.
