Continental miniature tall clock with Delft style porcelain case and French Japy Freres movement and pendulum. Case is decorated on all sides with typical blue leaves and flowers on a white ground; the front with a seaside village scene featuring a windmill, boats and various buildings. Enameled dial with blue lettering and gilt metal surround. Rear of clock marked in design with initials “APK”; clockworks with Grand Medaille d’Honneur stamp in circle. 25 3/4 in H. Late 19th C.
PROVENANCE: Private Chattanooga area collection.
CONDITION: Very good condition with expected crazing and chips to enamel. Stabilizing repair and repaint to rear of left side. Works not tested for functionality or guaranteed.
