Victorian Snuff Mull, Georgian Horn Cup, and Silver Mounted Ostrich Egg (3 items). 1st item: Victorian Sterling silver mounted ostrich egg, the finial, mounts and stand all hallmarked for Joseph Angell Sr. & Joseph Angell Jr., London, 1848-49. 11"H overall. 2nd item: Large Georgian Old Sheffield mounted horn cup, the silver-on-copper rim engraved THE GIFT OF THE HONORABLE ARTHUR BARRY TO BANASTRE WALTON 1765" with unidentified Old Sheffield hallmarks. 5 3/4"H. Third quarter 18th century. 3rd item: Small Victorian silver mounted horn snuff mull with thistle design to hinged lid. The silver is unmarked but likely sterling (not tested). Probably Scottish, late 19th century. 3 3/4"L.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, TN Collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Ostrich egg has been broken and repaired in several places. 2nd item: Wear and losses to silverplated rim, including a loss to the "W" in Walton. Scratches and multiple small pockmarks to horn. 3rd item: Excellent condition; some light tarnish to silver which we have not attempted to clean.
