Two (2) timepieces, nautical and railroad interest. 1st item: Chelsea Ship's Bell Nautical Clock, circular brass mounted in wooden case, retains key. Dial – 4 7/8" dia. Overall – 6 1/4" H x 8 1/4" W x 3 3/4" D. Mid 20th century. 2nd item: Early Seth Thomas Chronometer Lever Number 5004 Locomotive clock with porcelain dial and bronzed metal surround, now mounted to a wooden block. Winding key present, but possibly not original. Dial – 6 5/8" dia. Overall – 9 1/2" H x 8 1/2" W x 3 1/8" D. 11.4 lbs total. Early 20th century. Provenance: The estate of Dr. Benjamin H. Caldwell, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: 1st item: Some wear to brass and varnish cracking to wooden surround. Works not tested or guaranteed. 2nd item: Area of crazing to lower left on porcelain dial, wear to metal surround. Block split.
