1st item: Continental gilt gesso frame, pierced scrollwork with applied petal and crossed ribbon inner molding. Houses Madonna and Child print. Frame – 29 1/4" H x 24" W. 2nd item: Continental gilt gesso frame, pierced scrollwork with gilded paneled inner molding. Houses watercolor of seaside dwellings, signed with initials lower right, possibly "EMS". Frame – 14 3/8" H x 17 3/4" W. Sight – 6 1/2" H x 9 3/4" W. Both frames second half of the 19th century. Provenance: The estate of Jean A. Yeatman and Harry C. Yeatman, formerly of Hamilton Place Plantation (near Columbia, Tennessee). CONDITION: 1st item: Overall very good condition. Minor cracks and losses to gilt. Loss of lower left tip. 2nd item: Grime beneath glass, foxing to matte and image has yellowed. Frame in overall good condition with minor losses on two corners.
