Two (2) coin silver mint julep cups attributed to William and Archibald Cooper, and George Williams, both of whom worked in Louisville, Kentucky and other cities. 1st item: Coin Silver julep cup marked W. & A. COOPER in rectangle for William and Archibald Cooper, working Cincinnati 1836-37, Louisville 1837-1846, and possibly Frankfort, c. 1842. Monogrammed J.B. Castleman. 3 5/8" H. 2nd item: Coin silver julep cup with incuse mark WILLIAMS, attributed to George Williams, working c. 1847-1867 in Aurora, Indiana; Louisville, KY; and Seymour, Indiana. 3 1/2" H. Combined weight 7.5 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Cora Jane Spiller, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
CONDITION: Both with scattered small dents and some scratching, persistent dark mark around circumference of Cooper cup from having been wrapped in rubber band. Overall good condition.
