Velvet Baldric or patriotic sash, constructed from silk velvet, red and white stripes with embroidered sequin stars on blue canton, gilt metallic piping with silk flag rosette and red, white and blue fringe. Approximately 43" x 5". American, late 19th to early 20th c. Provenance: Estate of A. Welling LaGrone, Jr., Nashville, Tenn. Condition: Losses to pile, scattered staining and some fading, overall very good condition.
