Eight (8) Charles J. Cook (American, early 20th century) gelatin silver prints. Each print features a female figure, including one portrait, one woman on her knees appearing to scream, two women dressed in exotic costumes, and four nudes in nature settings. Also included is a copy of a short description of Cook's work by Baker Brownell (1887-1965), an American Philosopher, Writer, and Educator. Six are signed "Chas J. Cook" in pencil, lower right under image on cardstock, one is signed and dated "Chas J Cook 1928" in pencil, under image on card stock. All but one of the prints are secured to off white card stock. Prints approx. – 7 7/8" H x 6" W. Cardstock – 13 1/4" H x 9 3/4" W. Note: Cook's work appears in museums including the Museum of Contemporary Photography. CONDITION: All overall excellent condition.
