Chinese Export armorial porcelain coffee cup and saucer, each decorated with a coat of arms surmounted by helmeted guard, with an eagle and lion rampant to the center and bordered by a pink frame. Precious object to the body of the cup and rim of the plate. Provenance: ex. Elinor Gordon. Cup – 2 1/2" H. Saucer – 4 1/2" dia. First half of 18th century. CONDITION: Wear and losses to gilt decoration on both. Saucer with fleabite to edge.
