1st item: Victorian Sterling Silver Caudle Cup with a 17th C. Charles II coin set into the base, the body with repousse scroll, cartouche, and gadroon decoration and two side C scroll handles, with an associated silverplated flower frog insert. Hallmarked for Daniel & John Wellby, London, 1889-1890. 5" dia. (excluding handles). 2nd-3rd items: Pair of footed bowls with repousse floral and scroll designs and vacant monogram reserves in cartouches. Hallmarked for King and Sons, Chester, 1897-1898. 4 1/2" dia. 4th item: Muffineer or sugar caster, octagonal design with plain body and pierced lid with bell shaped finial. Hallmarked for Barker Brothers, Chester, 1910-1911. 5 1/2"H . Combined weight, excluding flower frog: 22.47 troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Camille Gift, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Caudle cup with some dents; wear and possible repair to rim; two spots, 1/4" and 1/2", of corrosion with tiny hole to interior of gadroon band; wear to coin; and some wear to flower frog. Muffineer has wear to maker's hallmark. Other items excellent.
