Southeast Asian Archaic style bronze double figural pricket candlestick, in the form of two deities or Bodhisattvas, each seated atop lotus bases, with blazing suns behind their heads, atop a single rectangular pierced stand. 14 1/2" overall. 13 lbs total. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: the estate of Mr. and Mrs. Jeter Eason, Memphis, Tenn., by descent to current consignor. CONDITION: Significant oxidation and wear, old cement repairs to neck of one figure and to back. One pricket broken off; 3/8" hole in front of one figure suggests it originally held something in its hand.
