Classical style carved, painted and parcel gilt headboard, featuring a triangular pediment over a painted band of Greek Key ornamentation and centered by a large inset gesso frieze with carved figural dancers, accented by gold leaf, applied to simulate age and wear. 79 1/4" H x 82" W (at top of frame) or 78" W at posts. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee Collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with light wear and minor losses to painted surface. Does not include rails.
