Large German porcelain figural grouping, likely Rudolstadt-Volkstedt, depicting a family in late 18th century attire gathered around a central stove, to which has been added a later double socket lamp pole and wiring. Raised on an oval decorated base. Blue underglaze crowned monogram mark back right corner of stove. Later gilt mounting to base and ball feet. 33 3/4" total H x 12 3/4" W x 10 1/2" D. Porcelain group late 19th century with mid 20th century modifications.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Figurine drilled, with old repaired break to the stove, scattered losses to flowers on the base. Wiring is old and new wiring is recommended.
