Marker on board attributes the retablo to an anonymous 19th century artist and lists provenance as the Juarez Frias collection. Housed in a modern figured wood frame. Sight – 14 1/8" H x 10 1/8" W. Provenance: Estates of Olen Bryant and late Vanderbilt University art professor Thomas Brumbaugh, Clarksville/Cottontown, Tennessee; ex-Fernando Juarez Frias, author of the book "Retablos Populares Mexicanos: Iconografia Religiosa del Siglo XIX".
