Shotei AKA Hiroaki Takahashi (Japan, 1871-1945) color woodblock print, “Mt. Fuji from Mitsukubo,” c. 1936. An evening or early morning landscape with Mount Fuji and a river that runs through a quiet village. Dedication inscribed to mat addressed to a Mr. Van Vliet and dated December 1951. With translation note affixed to backing. Housed under glass in an ebonized wood frame with cream mat, with old Japanese ledgers used for backing. Sight: 9 in. H x 14 in. W. Frame: 14 in. H x 18 1/2 in. W.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Not examined out of frame. Frame with abrasions and losses.
