Early Chinese Export Famille Rose punch bowl, the exterior with polychrome enamel vignettes of court and landscape scenes, with birds, butterflies, flowers, and gilt highlights, the interiror with a robin’s egg blue ground and polychrome enamel decoration of flowers and butterflies with repeating foliate and butterfly decoration on the gilt ground rim. 5 1/2 in. H x 13 1/4 in. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. James and Rebecca Whicker, Knoxville, TN.
CONDITION: Bowl with old restoration. Some spider cracks are visible at the base, and some paint flakes to the blue ground bowl interior.
