Nine (9) pieces coin silver flatware of New Orleans, Louisana interest. Includes 1 large soup or punch ladle (13 1/2") and 1 gravy ladle (7 3/4"L), both marked HYDE & GOODRICH in rectangle for James Hyde and C.W. Goodrich, working New Orleans c. 1816-1866; plus 4 dinner forks with incuse marks H.P. BUCKLEY / N ORLEANS for Henry Peat Buckley, working New Orleans, 1822-1903; and 3 tablespoons with incuse marks H.P. BUCKLEY N.O. with additional marks for Wood and Hughes of New York. All with rounded fiddle tipt handles, monogrammed (monograms appear of the period, and vary by item type). Combined weight: 21.45 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Gravy ladle has noticeable spots of discoloration to handle. 1 tablespoon has nick to side and some deep scratches to handle. Other items overall very good condition with minor wear, scratching, and tiny dents.
