Six (6) rare West Tennessee coin silver tablespoons stamped EVERMAN & STROCK / JACKSON TENN, incuse, for the previously unknown partnership of L.B. Everman and D.H. Strock, c. 1860. Pointed fins and fiddle swell tipt handles, monogrammed. 8 5/8" L, 9.14 oz troy. Note: According to TENNESSEE SILVERSMITHS by Dr. Benjamin Caldwell, Kentucky-born Lewis B. (L.B.) Everman is listed in the 1850 census working as a silversmith in Huntingdon, TN. In 1856 and 1857 he advertised his services in Jackson, Tennessee, and he was listed as a silversmith in Jackson in the 1860 census. Ohio-born D.H. Strock was documented working as a silversmith and jeweler in Paris, TN in 1853, but by the time of the 1860 census he was living and working in Jackson, and L.B. Everman's residence was right next door.
