1st item: English Jacobean style oak stool, hinged lift top with wrought iron hinges opening to a single compartment, carved vertical score pattern around sides, turned legs joined by a box stretcher. 21 1/4" H x 21 1/4" W x 14 1/4" D. 19th century or earlier. 2nd item: 18th century English slat back side chair, tapered legs and pegged construction. Retains an early 20th century embroidered seat cover. 38" H x 15 3/4" W x 14 1/2" D. Condition: 1st item: Overall general wear with some stains to top, wear with scratching to sides, possible earlier elements. 2nd item: Refinished with minor repairs and scattered wood fill.
