Kaplan (American, b. 1940), oil on board painting titled “Wall Street” depicting a Boston Terrier seated between the stone columns of a building with the words “Wall Street” etched onto the base of one of the columns. Signed en verso along the top stretcher, additionally titled and dated on the upper back. Housed in a heavy, carved black wood frame. Sight: 12 1/2 in. H x 13 1/2 in. W. Framed: 17 1/2 in. H x 18 1/2 in. W.
PROVENANCE: Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation.
CONDITION: Minor cracklure noted to the lower section of the painting, otherwise overall good condition. The frame has minor scattered abrasions.
