Walnut Polyphon Upright Coin-Operated Music Box by Schutzmarke, Leipzig, Germany. Comprised of a two-part case, the upper case fitted to play 19 1/2" discs, with dual combs and crank handle, and the lower case is fitted with a marquetry fall front door and compartments for disc storage. Serial number 24684, marked on the disc arm. Marked "Polyphon" on the plate and DRGM on the bar. Carved pediment and elements throughout the case. Retains the winding key and 9 discs. 83" total H x 29" W x 16" D. Circa 1900.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Music box is functional with no damage to the combs. Some minor, light wear and staining to case. Old, minor veneer losses to molded edges of base top.
