Mauchline-ware bound book, "The Lady of the Lake" by Scott, published in Edinburgh by John Ross and Company/ William Ritchie, 1874. Binding comprised of bevelled lacquer birnam wood boards with a gilt red morocco spine, front board with large central photograph of the "Falls at the Rumbling Bridge" and a large central photographic view of "Dunkeld, from the Bridge" on the rear board. Interior features the book "The Lady in the Lake" by Sir Walter Scott with several interior photographs depicting Scottish lochs, caves and castles. 6 7/8" H x 4 7/8" W. Condition: Wear to spine with some rubbing/losses. Slight separation to interior front spine. Some interior foxing and spotting, especially to front and rear dust covers.
