1906 Vacheron & Constantin Milan Grand Prix 14K pocket watch, Ref. #340168, 46mm, triple marked, lever set with winding knob, foliate engraved initials to case front. Movement signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve and numbered #340168; case cover marked V&C with other hallmarks and .585 and numbered #207286; handpainted enameled dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at six, gilt hands, and signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve. Retains the original red leather case together with a presentation note reading "Given to Dr. Harry Christian Schmeisser (1885 – 1964) in 1906 for his 21st birthday for not drinking or smoking." The weight of the watch is 98.7 grams.
PROVENANCE: A Memphis, Tennessee estate.
CONDITION: Dial with minor scratch, case worn and dented, movement in need of service. Retains the original red leather case.
