Kenneth K. “Ken” Thompson (American, 1942 – 2009), polymer and collage on canvas, abstract painting titled “The Continuous Crucifixion”. Painted in blue, red, brown, lilac, black, and white colors. Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery Collection label with artist information and title en verso. Housed in a simple black wood frame. Sight: 48 in. H x 72 in. W. Framed: 48 1/2 in H x 71 1/2 in W.  Note: Born in Florida, Ken Thompson received a degree in Art at Peabody College in Nashville, and worked as an illustrator, designer, and painter in New York, Nashville, and Atlanta.  

PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Vanderbilt University Museum of Art to benefit the acquisitions fund.

CONDITION: Overall good condition with rubbing along the lower stretcher and overall light grime.
