Southern inlaid Jackson press, Southeast TN or GA, walnut and figured walnut primary, yellow pine secondary. Consisting of a slightly overhanging plain pegged rectangular top, a row of three slightly overhanging dovetailed drawers with inlaid kite escutcheons and wood pulls flanked by inlaid pilasters, above two central dovetailed drawers with inlaid kite escutcheons and wood pulls flanked by two paneled doors with molding, inlaid kite escutcheons and wood pulls, and half turned pilasters, paneled and molded sides, and turned legs and ball feet. Circa 1835. 48 1/4" H x 46" W x 21" D.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Kaye Bransford Ruty, Nashville, by descent in her family.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with general wear consistent with use and age. Uneven surface color, staining and wear to top.
