Swiss music box, attributed to Paillard. Rectangular burlwood inlaid case, the lid decorated with center cartouche of gilt and enamel, the sides with brass handles. Triple 13-inch cylinder music mechanism with six bells, chimed by bees, marked “28051”. Stand of inlaid burlwood with one center drawer which stores the cylinders. Old Liverpool, England shipping label underneath stand. Box: 12-1/2″ H x 35-1/2″ W x 17″ D. Stand: 30″ H x 41-1/2″ W x 23″ D. Late 19th century. Provenance: A.R. Dickey Estate, Knoxville, TN Condition: In good working condition. Minor losses to veneer. Geneva stop gear present but unattached. This gear does not affect functionality but prevents the spring from winding down completely.
