Southern, possibly Kentucky, pair of cherry banquet dining tables, poplar secondary. Each table with an exaggerated curved apron of cherry veneer with pineapple or diamond relief carved stiles over turned legs with pineapple relief carved turnings at the top, transitioning to reeded tapered legs terminating in a ball and spike foot. 30" H x 48" W x 21 1/2" D (folded) 44" D (unfolded). Circa 1830.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Sally Flowers Moody, Kentucky.
CONDITION: Top has been sanded and flipped with possible replaced sections of leaves and back edges of banquet ends. Replaced hinges, minor abrasions and wear. Older refinish.
