Two (2) $5 Liberty Head Gold Half Eagle Coins, Type 2, San Francisco mint, including one (1) 1886 and one (1) 1901, designed by Christian Gobrecht (Pennsylvania, 1785-1844). Each depicts the head of Liberty, obverse; an eagle with outstretched wings with a shield on its chest as it clutches an olive branch and a cluster of arrows, the United States motto above, reverse. Reeded edges. 1886 coin housed in a round slab. 21.6mm, .900 purity. Combined weight: 16.718 grams.
