1st item: Family Register sampler for the True family of E. Salisbury, Mass., possibly the work of Ploomy A. or Ruth Annette True, who are listed with respective 1844 and 1846 birth dates along with their parents John and Charlotte True and sibling Andrew C. True. Cross stitched names, dates, and strawberry border. Housed in a giltwood molded frame. Sight: 13" square. Frame: 15" square. 2nd item: Sarah Roberts 1829 needlework sampler, featuring 4 rows of alphabets over signature and date in cross stitch and queen's stitch, with hearts, baskets of flowers, and love birds, enclosed in a geometric border. Housed in a wood frame. Sight: 16" H x 9 1/2" W. Frame: 16 1/2" H x 12" W. 3rd item: Abigail Ann Higbie 1833 needlework sampler on dark linen, 3 rows of alphabet over signature and date, with large basket of flowers, enclosed in a chain stitch border. Housed in a later parcel gilt and ebonized frame. Old Springfield, Massachusetts framing label en verso. Sight: 17" H x 7" W. Frame :8" H x 8" W. Note: Abigail Brigham "Abby" Higbee or Higbie was born 1819 in Salem, Massachusetts to Lemuel Higbee and Betsy Francis. She married William Harrington and died in Peabody in 1899. CONDITION: All with some fading and in later frames, under glass, unless otherwise noted. True Family Sampler: Scattered small stains and discoloration. Sarah Roberts sampler: Two 1/2" areas of ground and thread loss at upper left edge, in second alphabet. Possible repair or reinforcement to one Y and some loss/repair to love bird. Light discoloration, overall good condition. Abigail Ann Higbie sampler: Several significant areas of thread loss to letters/numbers.
